Notes for William Herring
Gleanings of Virginia History and some other sources (which might have taken their information from there) say he was born in 1804. Hardesty's Encyclopedia says he was born on 4 Sep 1801 (see the notes for nephew George Chrisman).
According to the Parks manuscript, he died in a cholera epidemic in 1832 or ’33. Since Find A Grave shows the death of both Margaret (his mother) and Eliza (his sister) in July 1830, I'm guessing that is when the cholera epidemic was.
Gleanings of Virginia History says he settled in Ohio and died unmarried.
